>Some companies (trie to) forbid you to make copies at all. However, here in Germany that's not allowed. The customer always has the right to make copies of his software and can do whatever he wants to do with it (including lending and selling) as long as two different persons don't possess it at the same time.<

YARC Systems Corporation had an interesting licensing agreement for the Loader I wrote for our 68030 based coprocessor boards. The licensing agreement stated that only our customers were allowed to make copies, but never specified how many copies could be in use at one time. This was intentionally designed to allow our customers to use our Loader with Definicon Systems Incorporated coprocessor boards. Why not, since Definicon had ditched their technical support department, including myself, YARC was supplying all the technical support for Definicon customers anyway, and if they were using my Loader it made this task easier.
