General Motors said Monday it's going to make two separate announcements about fuel cell technology during press briefings on Tuesday and Wednesday. The first will be held in Warren, Mich., at a GM facility and the second in Washington, D.C. A company spokesman confirmed that briefings will be held, but declined to specify what they would be about.

After slipping 8.5 percent, shares of FuelCell Energy (FCEL) were halted in the evening session. Rival Ballard Power (BLDP) slipped 1.2 percent.

FCEL reported a narrower than expected loss recently and splits 2:1 on 6/19. A drop at the open tomorrow with pending new from GE should provide a trading op for FCEL and related stocks. Will be ready to jump on board.
