>> I bought today in part because I too was surprised by and decided since it was a "holiday" Monday and the drop was on low volume that it was not "for real".

I saw the low volume, but I'm not comforted by it. Today had a bad feel for me. Aside from losing $$k. I think a very bad pattern is setting up. Which is that basically the rallies are fizzling, so people are selling at a loss. And sure those people exit and sit on the side lines. And a new batch comes in and proceed to lose their money also. This has happened 5 times this year.

So I think the number of people who still have their speculation money intact is dwindling fast. And this newest drop may convince even die hard bulls to stay away for a while. Meaning until cash balances build up again.

So today my account dropped just below the point where I had vowed to "sell all", in the effort to preserve what's left of my gains for the year.

However, blue mondays have usually been followed by a mid-week recovery. So I will pay close attention tomorrow.

Good luck to all of us. I see one of our number just decided to retire to the side lines. I think that will happen more and more.
