I am a huge Wim Wenders fan- Although Wings of Desire is my favorite.

X and Ron, I can't say that I've liked the Wenders stuff all that much----a little too ephemeral for me. However, I do have a German entry and that's Werner Herzog, in particular, " Fitzcarraldo." Aside from using Klaus Kinski ( why did he have to die at such an early age?! damn!! ) as his main man ---here I speak of most of his films--- the pure logistics of hauling that goddamn boat ( Fitzcarraldo ) and all the building materials, for an opera house, up the Amazon was astounding. lazarre
