And yes, by the way, many tons of documents were destroyed before the end of the war. What survives is so horrifying that one wonders what was contained in that which was destroyed?

Possibly nothing of interest. There's no way to know. Arguments from silence are just guesses. If you had a document that made reference to a missing document you could make a SWAG (scientific wild ass guess). Otherwise you are left only with a WAG.
