This reminds me of the “Eternal Optimist”.

The Eternal Optimist is someone who has just jumped off the roof of a ten story building.

As he passes each floor going down, he yelled into that floor’s open window,

“it OK so far”.

That was until he really did hit bottomed, yet no one heard.

The poster is asking if you would hold long (own) ADBE stock overnight. He is asking about long versus short position (short position meaning short the stock).

The poster is probably a day trader.

But you are right that many day traders probably consider a position held more than a couple of hours a "long-term" holding.
