Hi Dennis,

Welcome. Read the book.

Just to explain the --Mike Buckley thing:

Specifically:
Mike is a former carpet salesman ("carpetologist"), and basically a luddite. He composes his messages on an abacus. Anyway, another poster (Bruce Brown) has promised to buy --Mike a cell phone when 3G rolls out in America.

Generally:
--Mike Buckley is the butt of many of our jokes. This is because he is much richer and shrewder than the rest of us, and it makes us feel better.

If you really want to find out what intolerable dorks and old farts we all are, visit the "G & K investing for Curmudgeons" thread. Occasionally the fartdom seeps into this thread, but we usually keep it contained in the "mudge" thread, so as to protect the productive members of society that hang out here.

Dennis,

<< They are wireless computers that you can use as a phone. In my mind, the question is: will computer users have any desire to use a java phone? Will the market grow at the rate Nokia thinks it will? >>

... or Qualcomm.

All good points.

A key question is to what degree is the public ready for wireless data?
