help me out. If the dollar goes down doesn't this hurt Japan further. They sell into U.S. and get higher prices through us dollar so if it goes down they run the chance of recession faster?

That is true also. OK...maybe a strong dollar near term is good. Flip flopping again.

This a tough one to figure out. I would think that maybe the Euro bank holds some cards here. If Euro banks starts easing, that may help. Of course, the dollar will head down that automatically if Japan or Euro economies get stronger.

Maybe a weaker dollar will be better in the long run because (imho) a strong manufacturing base (especially in information technology) may just be too important.

Currencies are tough to figure out.

BTW--I waiting more to see the Euro bank cut rates...and not as interested in the US FED at this point.
