For stocks my personal preference at the moment is 2.66%. No scientific reason for the number. Just that my charting software is set up to display a p&f chart next to a candlestick chart and the number seems to give me charts that mesh well and suit my trading style.

I prefer the links for another reason. For some reason the copied charts have columns that are not aligned in my browser. Even when people use fixed font they have recently become screwed up.
