kdavy, I suspect that that there's more short-term downside ahead. I covered because I'm content with high single digit percentage gains on my plays, not necessarily because I expect prices to reverse and move higher. It will be interesting to see if support can once again hold in the high forties. I do believe that within the next month or two we will break that support.

KDAVY... If I was to short I would wait for the third or fourth consecutive up day. Previously you posted the buying of some positions and writing a "in the money " covered call. I think this plays out better than buy some puts, because only one commission is involved.

My example for today would be TER...Buy it at 41 1/2 and write the 40's or the 37 1/2's a month out. It might be a small gain, but better than a big loss.

FWIW..Dept...I think the best play out there is ORCL. Buy it now and next Tuesday write the 15's or the 17 1/2's for July.
