Hi Jim, what else do they make?

Something here seems to be growing and I'm curious what it is. Or, is it just a business transfer from one motherboard mfg to another one? i.e. no real growth, just a transfer to a less costly mbd mfg?

Like you, I'm curious too about industry signs. About your other post to me, I tend to think it's inventory clearing up in some segments a bit faster than expected. But inventory clearing, doesn't answer the key question yet for the industry: what's the underlying demand like? That's still an open question. Just because inventory is clearing up, doesn't tell anyone what the underlying demand level is truly going to be like.

Although, now that inventory is clearing in the industry, it will certainly be much easier for any mfg to determine true underlying demand level. I think the high inventory levels from last quarter had mfgs in the industry as a whole, all confused about visibility. This (visibility issue) shouldn't be an issue moving forward now that inventory levels are worked off.

Amy J
