The weakness of their bargaining position - I do not think it had to be that way - is a legitimate question. ( and ADS sales cannot have been helped by all the uncertainties of who would end up owning it).

It takes two bidders who genuinely want what they have to undo the scenario you mention, Mike. Apparently they only had one for ADS..the other was lowballing as if it were a fire sale. What would the legacy patents go for? I would think at least 30 million, but am far from certain. Both would probably have to be sold (unless the ADS price was far far above the expected amount). I think they will probably have to clear all or most of the debt ( the redeemables , as Jubimer has mentioned, are equity...not debt)before any JV partner would consider stepping in. Who is going to want to invest in mainly paying interest?
