Haim, but it's not only Taiwan and South Korea that send their goods to us for our dollars. It's also China, and to a much greater extend than the other two. What's China's motivation, if, as you say, exchanging their goods for our dollars is a bad deal? It seems to me that, unlike you, the Chinese think it's an excellent deal and fight hard every year to keep the US Congress from preventing them from paying this "tribute" to the US. Very strange behavior, if it's bad for them.
