Even TBird at 1.4 GHz would have been more fair. Nevertheless, since the 1.4 GHz Tualatin was operated with an overclocked FSB, even this would not have been indicative of the performance difference between an actual 1.4 GHz Tualatin and a 1.4 GHz TBird.

Not really when you consider that reports say Tualatin has 512K L2 and was intended to run with a 200MHz FSB. I don't think you'll see the true potential on the desktop.
