The thread sounds so bearish me thinks a little rally from here is possible. However, I would pick individual stocks outside of tech like TYC BJ & FDC

Re inflation, assumed fall/winter liquidity rally, and the aftermath, I found the following from Merrill's Christine Callies 5/29/01:

"Share prices can advance concurrent with inflation if the greater fear is economic weakness or decay in corporate profit growth. Procyclical equity and inflation cycles have occurred four times since the 1970's. .... examples...occurred from 1978-1980, during the first eight months of 1987, from 1988-1990, and from 1998-2000 (Q1 only)."

She doesn't mention it, but as I see those four dates, each is an immediate predecessor to recession and/or equity market disaster.
