I'll tell you what, I used to be a hostile shareholder of NTWK. At one point about two years ago, it became necessary for me to modify some information on a domain I own. After 3 hours, I was unable to not only fix the problem, I was unable to get an actual human being on the telephone.

No kidding, 3 hours of trying, and I am pretty good on the phone. Absolutely the worst Customer Service I have ever experienced in my entire life.

At that point, I was so cranked out that I was determined to talk to somebody at the company. Being a veteran of what is now called "telemarketing", I had to pull out a few old tricks. I went to Yahoo and looked up the management of the company. I began calling the main office number and asking directly for some officer of the company - by name. I started at the bottom and worked my way up.

After about 15 minutes, I got the Administrative Assistant of one of the top dogs. She was quite nice, especially considering how hot I was at that point, and she handled my problem in about 10 minutes. I mentioned at the beginning of our conversation that I was a shareholder, and that seemed to have a positive influence on her. I was then able to speak for about 15 minutes to an executive of a company associated with NTWK regarding fixing my domain, and it got done.

At that point, I decided that I would never do business with NTWK again as long as I lived, and I never have.

I never buy a stock to hold unless I call the company first. I don't care about the management. I call the workers (no, I am not going to tell you how I do it exactly) and I ask them certain questions. Like is the parking lot getting easier to park in. <G>

Postscript: since that time I've researched at least a dozen 'domain acquisition' sites, and the best, hands down, is register.com
