GM Takes Stake in Impco Technologies Unit
DETROIT (Reuters) - General Motors Corp. (NYSE:GM - news) said Tuesday it was taking a ``substantial minority stake'' in a unit of IMPCO Technologies Inc. (NasdaqNM:IMCO - news) as part of a deal to develop hydrogen storage for fuel cell vehicles.

The world's largest automaker said the deal would help it develop vehicles powered by fuel cells, which use hydrogen to create power with no dangerous emissions, that could have a range equal to or greater than conventional cars and trucks
