G,

I am starting to look at flat panels. Probably will wait till they drop below $300 or AMAT goes above $100, whichever comes first:-)

Gottfried, I had a state of the art 19" Trinitron monitor, and I sold it, and the whole desktop system that went with it. I just use a laptop now, it has a 15", very high resolution active matrix display. I will never go back to a CRT monitor. The laptop display is much better, and seems easier on your eyes. Also, it could be safer (EMF issue). I would not want to be invested in a company that makes CRT monitors now. Maybe as a short. I wonder if there are any companies that just do CRT displays. I had a similar idea years ago but never acted on it. The idea was to short Smith-Corona after PC's started catching on. I recall that idea would have worked out well.
