There is a difference between solving engineering problems You make it sound so trivial .....just solve the engineering problems...ridiculous! Global warming will be accepted as fact long before we have a fully functional MDS... re: "the effect of Kyoto will be to set back the industrial world, and possibly cause a Depression......" I imagine that's what was said about cleaning up the smog of Pittsburgh and LA...... Incidentally, Bei Jing has a horrible smog problem largely due to the use of charcoal as a heating fuel.... They are very aware of the problem and are working on it as new buildings and generating plants are built. I saw a generating plant that looked like a nuke with its cooling towers from a distance but turned out to be a coal burner....very clear (don't know if it was clean but it was clear) air around it.
