I once deposed a guy who was in an accident while riding a motorcycle. He literally slid beneath a car and was abraded all over the place, among other injuries I don't recall. He admitted that he was not wearing any protective gear---then I asked him about leather clothing (pants, jacket, etc.) This guy actually testified that he had never heard of a motorcyclist wearing any leather. After I picked myself off the floor, I continued the examination:-)
