LOL! A diabolical thought here...perhaps most of these (kinky tech) companies keep a market technician on the executive staff, with a hot line to the CEO. They simply press the defcon button when it looks like major technical damage is about to appear, an instant press conference/release is done and presto! Instant reversal!<GGG>

OTOH, if a company got to this degree of micromanaging their stock price, it would be safe to say that their main business is selling stock...

Foundry a competitor of Extreme also said today they were tracking ahead of estimates this quarter. Plus several positive comments from analysts [re: this sector / metro] about extreme, foundry and riverstone in the last two weeks .
So meeting / timing not to bizarre!!!
