I was talking this over with my broker today He thinks the new Sec rules will keep alot of the analyst in dark more, the new rules require public companies must release the news to the general public first. That's why we see a lot more voltility in these stocks on bad news. I didn't sell today and usually don't on panic selling days like today .Nevertheless I'm holding this long term, 3 to 5yrs because I do feel comfortable knowing that Affx has a dominate position in there markets and hugh potential.

.I agree these analyst are going to have to do there homework better . My guess as uncertain as this economy is it'll be very unclear what happens to a lot of companies going forward. Affx is saying the Drug companies could be expericing a down trun as well.

Re : Why analysts never say : "D'oh ! Boy was I dumb."

It is possible that if they ever admit they have no idea what they are doing, they (or their employers) might be open to a lawsuit.

So, they all keep pretending they have "a clue."

Jon.
