I haven't seen Roberts' note. Can you link it?

I generally believe just about everything Roberts' says except when he talks about Europe. His sources are definitely not the best when it comes to European issues.

We were all burned about a year and half ago when he said ETSI was going to approve CDMA "within a few weeks." Never happened.

>CDG threatening to throw NOK out of the cdma group, because of the inaccurate white paper.<

So... What else is new!! Gee.. NOK being thrown out of the CDG!! What's next.. Let me guess, they are going to suspend their library card?

"Roberts opines that he expects announcements in 30 days."

The day that happens, is the day that that GSM operators GSM roaming agreements will be suspended.. They will be an outcast.. Left as an island unto themselves!! Punishment will be swift and strong! Anyone want to bet a C note that no GSM operator in Europe will defect to the QCOM side on any standard GSM or UMTS frequency within the next 40 days?

>My twist: Management wouldn't be going to Europe if a deal were not close to be had.<

They spent months there in 1997 for the Overlay trials with VOD!

> Also seems NOK getting skittish about its direction and may blink<

I wouldn't bet money on that!
