yes it is plausible, but it's also a widespread expectation i think. could turn into a 'sell the news' event if it happens. then again, there's little danger of good news anyway. the danger is really that we may get an unexpected warning from a key stock (like GE for instance), resulting in a panic. that said,i wouldn't mind a good up leg. i'd short that with great confidence....sentiment is already pretty lopsided, and would get even more so on a further rally.

why should the market rally on fundamentals Touche. You have to be silly to back off your statement. If the market is rallying on the lack of improved fundamentals then at the first sign of improved fundamentals I think we have the last moonshot. As soon as CSCO books better performance every POS associated with it will launch to high heavens. At about 2900 or so someone will realize that perhaps earnings matter and the "growth" is just the final last cyclical uptick before the next recession. This is similar I believe to Zeev's scenario but he is calling for a way higher high. I doubt it. On the surface even 2900 looks to be totally 100% absurd. M
