cyberken, The fastest way to lose an argument in the perception of others is to resort to name calling. It suggests that your logic has no effect and so you resort to whatever you can control...the names of the others with whom you debate....

The trend is very clear. we have an upwards trend of a fraction of a degree per year, 1/10 or so. Superimposed on that is the year to year variance of as much as 1.5 degrees.(what I call the jitter),. as time goes by the year by year inscreases mount up and the jitter is still there. How does that show up? well we have had 5 of the warmest years oin record in the last 7 years and only 2 cooler ones. Take that another 10 years out and the baseline will be another degree or so higher, again with the jitter on top on it.

What a convenient rationalization. You're a broken record, dude. And I don't think you would recognize a legitimate scientific study if it busted you in the chops.

It's not a coincidence that the most widely quoted skeptic on global warming, Fred Singer, is both funded in part by the ONLY major oil company--ExxonMobil--that still denies the validity of climate change itself(let alone human causes of the changes), but that he hasn't been able to publish anything in a peer-reviewed journal for 15 years.

Is he one of your legitimate scientists?
