John, OT ** I have no insight with respect to fiber optics. If I buy any of the stocks it will be because I see them take off. Besides MSFT being 'safe', IBM is often mentioned in the same vein. IBM growth is not great but I'm impressed how well it has come through the Naz dive.

OFF TOPIC/FIBER:

For a pretty wild play in this space, take a look at MRVC.
You get:

-- about 1.7 shares of LMNE, optical component maker (value 1.7 times $4.80)soon to distributed to shareholders
-- Optical Acccess, free space optics
-- Zuma--metro Linux processor
-- Charlotte's Web Core router (test better than CSCO/JNPR)

Price/sales 1.97 !
Share price $9.96

plus much more.

Really!

Namaste!

Jim
