Bill, Have you read the Academy of Sciences report? I'd like to get a copy of it but their web site wants $20. The press release that went with the report suggests the issues are NOT as clear as you assert. I did some web surfing and found that satellite and ballon measurements of the mid and upper troposhere have shown NO appreciable temp. increases for the last 20 years. Which runs counter to global warming theory. I don't think were ready to trash the economy to support an unproven hypothesis.
