Well, a gradual decline would certainly be better for all concerned, if it can be pulled off. I hope they can, bartering Gold Eagles would prove to be rather difficult compared to using the trusty Visa card (paid off every month, with credit going to airline ticket vouchers)!

Sell it as a vacation abroad to the old folk. We could have the best business idea of the millenium Think of it...the exotic locations, the fulfillment of an obvious need, the lack of U.S. governmental regulation! This is better than Joel's Rent-a-Ledge! Have to find a way to camoflage the fact that its a one-way ticket, though....
