Also, when the Markman ruling came out, it was discussed on this thread before Wall Street read about it. Everyone here knew that it was going to crater the stock, (though some likely would not publicly admit it), and readers of this thread had an opportunity to get out the next morning almost flat. In fact, the bus was trading up in Germany:

I was surprised that there was no movement until a little after the US market opened - usually things are much more immediate. However, this did mean that I was ready to hedge part of my position with May puts as soon as I saw the price starting to fall.
