Damn, X, and other threadsters....I'm sorry again for butting in but I can't help myself when its about movies I've seen and stuff like that.

Mystery Train....another good one.

First time I ever saw Steve Buscemi---what a great geeky guy! And Screeming Jay Hawkins as the night manager dressed in that red sportsjacket!! Priceless.

And, of course, the scene in the flophouse when Buscemi and the other dude are drunk and start reminiscing about the TV series " Lost in Space."

I have some new favorite movies. I saw Oh Brother Where Art thou- I cannot recommend it highly enough. What a great movie, what a work of art. And it's a treat for the senses, since the music as well as the visuals are amazing. It's the updated story of Ulysses- with a journey and an oracle and sirens and Penelope and everything! And the music! These kind of movies don't come around often- make sure you see it.

I also have to recommend State and Main- I am a huge David Mamet fan and this comedy doesn't disappoint. It's excellent. The cast is fabulous the story is witty and wonderful. What a treat.

Down By Law is one of my favorites too. Didn't that launch that Italian comic's career here in America? The dialogue when they were in jail together was priceless.

I like Jarmusch a lot, but I've only seen his first three movies. I'm curious to know how he's developed. He was very funny in Smoke, another good movie.

edit- come to think of it, Jarmusch may have been in the sequel to Smoke, the name of which is eluding me.
