10:00AM ET The markets have swung back into positive ground on markedly improved market internals. The Nasdaq didn't reach support at 2150 which may be a bullish signal for the very near term. The index has initial resistance at 2185 and also faces subsequent resistance just over 2200. Biotechs are notably strong on the heels of a few developments in the group. To start, Geron (GERN +9.2%) has announced that the U.S. Patent Office has issued the company a patent with claims directed to human embryonic germ (hEG) cells.
