I'm not advocating isolationism but putting US interests first. Of course we should listen to our allies, but we must act to protect US national security and general welfare interests first. The fact that our allies disagree does not automatically mean that our course is incorrect. Global warming is a fraud. Bush policies on the other issues are all reasonable. Bush's approach to his European trip has been exactly right. And the meida's constant carping about insignifcant facts like mispronouncing Aznar's name shows me exactly where their sympathies lie. The Clinton Administration recognized the opportunity to further restrict freedoms and control individuals.

Global warming may well be bad science as more and more scientists question if it is really happening at all. Indeed, many of the same scientists who began tolling the doomsday bells about global warming wrung their hands in anguish back in the 1970s over the "impending" ice age.

The ozone layer is not being depleted. It waxes and wanes as part of a 300 year cycle.

Natural resources are not finite. They recycle themselves. Indeed, recent discoveries have even revealed that natural gas and oil are being manufactured in the Earth continually.

Overpopulation is a skewed view of urban areas. Much of the world is vastly underpopulated or is not populated at all. The report on the population explosion first issued in Italy back in the 1960s has been proven totally false. According to it's projections the world would have had close to 30 billion people by this time. In actuality, new diseases (such as AIDs, Mad Cow Disease, etc.) could very well decimate large portions of the world population during this century.

Western politicians, especially the Democrats in the United States, have seized upon these "issues" in order to increase their personal power, subjugate individual liberty and control industries they don't like.

No, we must move on from our late 1930s isolationist mentality. The Clinton administration recognized this; the Bush administration hasn't. Global warming, depletion of the ozone layer, conservation and wise use of natural resources, getting a handle on world overpopulation ... these all are global issues that must be addressed by the entire community of man.
