For those that actually read that, there is also one fringe condition that caused Fidelity (my IRA custodian) to send me a warning letter about violating some IRS/SEC laws.

For those who really do read, there is a very important distinction between violating a law and making use of your assets in a way that results in tax penalties. One is a function of criminal or civil legal action and the other is not. As an example, if I choose to withdraw funds from my IRA prematurely, I am levied a "penalty tax" but I have not committed a crime. If I violate an SEC law, I can go to jail. Big difference.
