"BTW, did you see the nun who said she thought McVeigh was in heaven." This is one of the most stupid comments anyone has made. The other most stupid comment people make is that they "think" McV is in Hell having his festering boils dealt with, or what ever. Religious people need to leave judgement and eternal just desserts to the One with authority over it. Ever hear, "Thou Shalt Not Judge." Why is that the least likely religious principle to be respected? If there is any benefit to society at all in the death penalty, it is that we no longer have to struggle with what would be a fair and just outcome for the guy. History has shown that we are hopelessly ill equiped to deal with this kind of problem. However, that doesn't stop people, even nuns, from vain speculation.
