My wife has turned my garden into a water and flower garden but on the other hand I do know of a few fields where sweet corn is grown. gg

Around Central Illinois when you get your seed order they toss in a bag of sweet corn, enough for 1/2 an acre. The farmers plant that next to the house and it's 10 times as much as they can use. It's not hard to cut a deal for a bunch. One year I traded a stray cat for 5 dozen ears of super sweet.
