Just watched the gavel go down here on the tube. Don't know much where we're going but when a pitcher of Kool Aid and a big stuffed peanut ring the closing bell on the NYSE, it has to be a good time to short :).

Watching for some warnings now. See if any come to goose that nasty close.

Yes, I am just looking at stuff over my shoulder thinking about a similar "scramble" plan. Right now, my plan is this -ng:

If gap down 20 points or more on NAZ, then sell the living shit out of any initial bounce.

We are about 20 points from a nightmare. Again, odds are it won't happen, but we should all have a plan for tomorrow in case it does. This market has not surprised in a while and perhaps it's time to kick the swing traders in the ass.

The 60 minute charts for the comp and ndx look miserable and are set up for plenty more down action, but we could get a bounce first (I'm hoping, at least, since I didn't have the nerve to short the broken wedge without a clear retest and am currently flat).

The daily candle is a bearish engulfing, which is nasty.

I'm also inclined to look for a bounce to short. Of course, when I need a bounce to short, the market rarely gives me one.

<<Last time we made a trip here (2105), the p/c shot up, and lead to the hellacious bounce>>

Heinz made the same point, that he was concerned re: poot buying around mid day. Looks like it got worked out by the close though (overall p/c finished at a "healthy" .59 with equities at a downright complacent 0.49).

What happens if Al and the Merry Banksters cut 50 bp's and it gets sold in SOIZE? I'd think the end game is at hand (especially with the kind of warnings the next q earnings releases are likely to contain). BWTFDIK?
