And just WHY is that?

Microsoft's goal - in sync with Intel's - is to dominate the enterprise data market segment.

The IA64 is well on its way to becoming the vehicle to do just that - with industry wide support - and a system architecture geared to support high levels of reliability, stability, redundancy and expandability and scalability.

AMD has only an unproven 2-way AthWiper at the moment - supported by Industry luminaries such as CrackServer and Jack-in-the-Boxxx - so what is there that indicates AMD can even get the attention of the Corporate Data Center folks?
