It is not a stated policy, but, like at most brokerages, it's an implied policy, that's what I got from the rep.
I used to be a broker, and, at the firm I worked at, there was a stated flipping policy, which would shut someone out from further allocation. Probably the best thing, if I had participated in KFT, was that would have established myself as someone willing to do IPOs, even if they aren't red hot - that might be good for future allocation.
I'm trying to get some stock in a much smaller deal with CSFB and SSB as lead for some tech company. I'll give it a shot, if I get shares, like it's Vegas;>)
CSFB has done pretty well lately, and having both them and SSB on the cover is good pedigree.
