CDMAone phone uses MSM3100, sort of antique, why bother? Nice display, shows cdmaONE logo upon power on. Display is Kanji/Hiragana, Katakana or alphanumeric.

Technical Description included but no diagrams like one earlier phone.

One new Single Mode CDMA phone today.

I think that this is the 800MHz version of the SCP-6000 (PCS). I believe it is supposed to be available soon....

I just think that we are all being way too optimistic about how soon 1x handsets are going to be available. PCS is still supposed to release the successor to the Samsung 3500 in August....the new handset is still based on the MSM3000. A couple of days ago, Samsung got a new handset approved that was based on the MSM3100....this handset probably wont be out before Christmas.

Unless wireless data absolutely takes off, it is going to be a slow transition away from IS-95A/B.
