Passing that legislation would only mean more money for trial lawyers, and less bottom line benefits for HMO beneficiaries. Your sense and understanding of the economics of lawsuits is pathetic (albeit typical).

This is one issue I think Bush is all wrong on. It is ludicrous that an HMO can deny you care, and you have to sue your doctor, who probably was fighting to get you the care! Sue the party that denied the care.

The only problem with this, is that any settlements will drive up the cost of healthcare. The bureaucratization of health care has already driven up prices. Law suits will make it worse.
