I like what I read on their web site.

I did too but I didn't like that there is so little on it. There's no mention of how long they've been in business, the size of the assets, how much each account is insured for, etc., etc. There is mention that we can use the Internet to make trades and view our accounts, but there is no example of it. And the web site still isn't capable of generating application forms online.

For me, if the company walks the talk, all of that is easy to live with knowing that I can pick up the phone and talk to a principal of the company if the need arises.

I did note that the commission rates are not competitive with the deep discounters. I don't know if that's because they profess to give a higher quality of service. In my case, I'll make such few trades that I doubt that I'll be able to benefit from any such value proposition. On the other hand, the incremental additional cost over what the other firms charge won't matter because I expect to do do so little trading.
