Sorry Hawkmoon,

I don't remember if this has been posted yet, but if not here it is.
Rummor I heard on Williams Energy News Live: There is aparently going to be an special meeting of the FERC Monday. CBS and the LA Times say the FERC is going to discuss expanding the current price mitigation plan to 24 hours a day, not just during emergencies. The plan will cover 11 western states in the western interconnect (11 Western States).

Also reported, The California PUC (ever on the ball) has voted to allow SCE enter into long term contracts with qualified facilities (alternative generators). And to pay them 15% of what is owed them (if they can prove they need it).

SCE has reached agreement with alternative energy producers, a multiyear deal (which according to a Calpine VP) is $53.70 per MW. Are windmills able to make it on that if the number is correct?
