Back from a trip to Dallas.... Shaq and Wilt would be a dream match-up. I know Russell ultimately bested Wilt, BUT, could it have been because Russell was surrounded by a better cast? I never saw them play eachother, so would rely on you older guys to fill us young pups in. As for the series, it ain't goin back to L.A. The postgame comments from Philly now resemble in tone and text what San Antonio was saying with 1 or 2 games left in that series. The scary thing is, L.A. still hasn't played a game against Philly in which they put it all together, as they had in the Western Conference Finals. Not to get in to any arguements, but I think Iverson is not measuring up to MVP status. His shooting percentage is truly awful. He looks like he's running out of steam, understandably. He's moving at only 100 mph, rather than his usual 150 mph. That's still faster than anyone else, but not fast enough for what his team needs. This series doesn't support the contention of one of our younger mudges that Iverson is one of the three top scorers of the last 20 years. Philly's having big trouble scoring, in part, because the Lakers are having success shutting down Iverson (shooting %). That means the other guys aren't getting some of the easy shots they may have gotten in the past, and aren't having their usual success at creating shots for themselves against this Lakers championship-level defense. I sincerely hope Philly rallies for Game 5, and makes it a nailbiter, but honestly, they looked real whipped after Game 4, based on their comments and expressions. ca
