SAP, IBM Expand Global Alliance
To Include All of MySAP.com

ORLANDO, Fla. -- SAP AG and International Business Machines Corp. expanded their alliance to cover the entire MySAP.com electronic-business platform.

IBM will license and integrate technology from SAP AG's SAP Portals Inc. unit to provide customers with shared access from their desktops to applications and information in all industries, the companies said in a press release Wednesday.

SAP Kicks Off TV, Print Ad Campaign in Effort to Boost Sales of MySAP.com

The SAPMarkets unit will license WebSphere for projects and developments to help businesses improve relationships with customers and partners.

SAP, a resource planning software maker, also entered an alliance with Palm Inc. to provide its mySAP.com product to users through Palm hand-held computers. The two companies will jointly sell the products.

These announcements follow a series of other partnerships struck between SAP and companies including Hewlett-Packard Co., PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG.
