The CIBC conference was a goldmine of background information. I assume everyone here is doing their DD there. I've already done over 10 presentations (BLS twice). You can also just print out the foils. I have a stack about 2" high! <g>

BTW, from the Hyperchip presentation, they go into trials in 2H 2001 and they say they expect the process to take 6-8 months, down from past years. I'm not so sure about that, with this slowdown. My guess would be the upper end of that at least. Charlotte's has been in trials about that long already. Hyperchip sees a strong demand in the core for HIGH END ROUTERS - in fact they show EXPLOSIVE growth in the 200+ Gbps core router market beginning in 2001. They have a nice graph in the presentation.

WHAT TODAY FROM NOAM?

Of course, I have no idea. However, it would not be too surprising if MRVC found at least ONE item of major good news to the market to bring forward into the spotlight at this venue. My guess would be:

-- Press release immediately beforehand
-- News that OPXS IPO paperwork is being dealt with on an
active basis
-- No date set for the IPO
-- Restatement of the investment bankers involved
-- no guidance about the quarter

Naturally, you can see a certain amount of wishful thinking
in this scenario........<ggggg>

Johnny B: I did detect a certain amount of "dark humor"
in your post, which I bounced back to you in mine.

Namaste!
