Wallace,

I hate unsubstantiated anecdotal utterances, especially when they are used to justify stock ownership. Tell me, does this give you or anyone else a reason to buy or hold SYMC? I don't think so. It's like saying: "There's a lot of disgruntled out-of-work techies, let's buy gun manufacturer stocks!"

I don't think Mike did this on purpose. Probably he was misquoted - as a lot of us are - by journalists. However, if someone uses this as a reason to buy SYMC, they shouldn't be surprised if they lose their shirt.

IMHO you should not have posted it here, since it does not help to understand SYMC situation at all. But that is your right, so I won't say anything. It was even humorous. I just think that even the old Mike's analysis from valuestocks.net time is worth much more than this ridiculous sound bit.

Jurgis - I sold SYMC earlier. I would buy somewhere in 30s.
