Today just isn't a good day for me to look at this - it's my older son's 16th birthday and I am taking him to look for a reasonably priced laptop and also get him a learner's permit, and I have to bake a cake and so on.:)

Later.

Good thinking- I especially liked the anticipation of the potential for GDP to lag increased debt financed investment.

FWIW- I pulled just the Mortgage Debt Outstanding numbers and graphed both log and linear. I think this is a favorite number for both ContraryInvestor and PrudentBear

Trend doesn't appear to have changed much. That doesn't mean Mortgage debt can't be a problem going forward.
