Slacker:
What is your impression on the amount of aditional pain CREE may have to pay for UltraRF purchase. I base it on recent accelarated writeoffs by NT, LU CSCO of their recent purchases and JDSU current stock price (price to book of 0.22) which reflects the book value of JDSU of $24B of which $20 B being intangibles.
Do you have any idea of UltraRF carring value in intangibles on CREE's books. My feeling based upon information derived by piecing together several press releases that intangibles are 80-90% of $110 M purchase price.
I revisit this issue since it appears that UltraRF is primarily acting as a distrubutor/remarketer of power IC from other manufacturers.
