e911 technology will allow cell phones to transmit their location for emergencies but will also allow them to be tracked nearly the same as if you had electronic "handcuffs".

It's hard to get people to believe you can't build a better mousetrap. Free trade is probably the best and most effective diplomacy.

Historical Note:

The infamous Maginot Line was not penetrated until well after the battle between France and Germany was decided, and it had been denuded of troops. The line would most likely have held just fine against an assault by the German equipment of 1940. But it wasn't necessary. The French failed to convince the stone-headed Belgians to allow the completion of the line through their territory. The Belgians clung to the pacifistic hope that Germany would not invade them a second time in the 20th century.

So the Wehrmacht invaded the lightly-defended Belgian forests, and drove around and past the Maginot Line, which then went down in history as a blunder, rather than a typical French half-measure.

And these same idiots are now trying to tell George Bush about defense against potential enemies?
