Wow. What a friendly board. It seems that there are a lot of people here who enjoy making empty statements simply to promote their cause. I made reasoned comments and asked for constructive opinions. That is far from what was posted in response to my thoughts. Is SI going downhill as a legitimate forum or are the people here becoming like the kids who post on Yahoo? In any case, for the record, I am long FWHT and extremely bullish on their stock, long and short term. I have no position in GOTO, and I am bullish on them long-term but do feel there is some short-term downside. I have been an advertiser with both companies since inception, so I have an "insiders" view of both. I use them extensively - spending over $1000 per day on them - so I am quite qualified to speak about their effectiveness. If you disagree with me, all I ask is that you support your opinions - not throw them out there completely unsupported. It wastes everyone's time and makes you appear uneducated. That said, does anyone have a real opinion on my earlier comparison between GOTO and FWHT (Findwhat.com)?

Mogul -

Thanks for the ad hominem attack and inaccurate assumptions. Odds are that I am far more educated than you, so you might want to watch it when you throw around weak insults. Despite your ineptitude, I will answer your question. While secondary offerings certainly can be a sign that a company is running out of cash and is desperate for additional financing, this is not always the case. It is far from a death warrant. Many times a company will secure the capital because they want to expand to take full advantage of opportunities they see. Relative to GOTO's second offering, I am neutral on where it is a good or bad sign.

Westpacific,

-8.76 eps? The latest analyst consensus eps estimate for 2001 is -.39 and for 2002 it is +.31

While these are just opinions and the actual numbers will vary, they are formulated by "the experts" and are unlikely to be far off. Goto is quite close to being profitable...revenues are soaring and they will soon shift them to cash-positive.

Brasco,

Your comments are perhaps the most gratuitous (look it up if you don't know what it means). "Sell - its a pig!" Quite insightful. I will respond with a gratuitous comment in kind so we can relate well : "Buy - its great!" How's that? No reasoning. Empty statement. You must love it. Your criminal manipulation accusation was just as silly. Can you provide even one tidbit of proof of this?

Looking forward to some intelligent banter...
